On September 28th, 2008 the Blount County Association of Realtors in conjunction with the Dixie Iron Riders motorcycle group held the first annual "Emily Barger and Maddie Harrill Memorial Motorcycle Ride and Show" to benefit the Oncology/Hematology Department at East Tennessee Children's Hospital.

Emily Barger was 7 years old and Maddie Harrill was only 5 years old when they both lost their battle with a rare form of childhhood cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma on June 24th and July 13th, respectively. It is a form of cancer that only affects children.

Both Emily & Maddie received tremendous care and support from the Oncology/Hematology Department at East Tennessee Children's Hospital. The Blount County Association of Realtors is proud to be a part of assisting Children's Hospital with the work they do to help children in our communities.

| The ride began at the Parkway Drive-In and proceeded across Foothills Parkway to Hwy. 129. From here, a few beautiful backroads were traveled to return to Hwy. 321 to the Parkway Drive-In.

Dixie Highway Band played some great music to keep the crowd entertained.
| Pistol Creek catch of the Day was so generous to give back to the community they love. They played at the benefit for East Tennessee Children's Hospital to keep the crowd entertained.
